 RECENT DIABETES PREVENTION AND EDUCATION CONFERENCES ATTENDED BY OUR CERTIFIED LIFESTYLE COACH (DR. INUKA)

1. ATTENDED FIRST EVER "WOMEN LEADERS IN DIABETES" CONFERENCE, San Francisco (10 MAY 2019) 


It was my huge honor to meet CDC’s Director of National Diabetes Prevention Program Dr. Ann Albright PhD RD and Coach Beverly RN, MPH, CDE®, BC-ADM at the first ever “WOMEN LEADERS IN DIABETES” conference in San Francisco in May 2019. I was truly inspired by all the National/ International leaders in Diabetes Education present at the meeting.

2. ADVANCED (2-day in person) LIFESTYLE COACH TRAINING ATTENDED in September 2019, at Macon Georgia 
(Invited by: Georgia Department of Public Health)


3. Invited to present a talk ON DIABETES and Nutrition EDUCATION by C.H.O.I.C.E.S (Center Helping Obesity in Children End Successfully) Community Kitchen, Fulton County, Ga (Nov. 2019)

4. Invited several times by POSITIVE GROWTH (Refugee Resttlement Agency in Clarkston, Ga) to serve as a  Volunteer Diabetes Educator.


5.  Dr. Inuka Midha's DIABETES EDUCATION WORKSHOPS for SENIOR BHUTANESE REFUGEE members as part of her teaching course at EMORY University's GHCS (Global Health Culture & Society) Minor program (Fall 2012).
